If there is one thing that we enjoy it is getting something for free. I've seen people going potty about getting useless junk, just because they don't have to pay for it.

Take for instance the vacation industry. You can take free vacations, get free park attraction tickets or even get paid to vacation. The reason is so that they can give you their 2-4 hour sales pitch (They call it timeshare in the UK).

They use this tactic every day. Why? It works for them.

What I've seen lately online is loads of adverts for free stuff that sound pretty unbelievable. For example a $1000 gift card for walmart, I mean lets be honest about it we all know that your not going to get a thousand dollars for nothing and thats what they seem to be suggesting.

Anyway a bit of research and here's what I've found out about this offer, they get you to give them your email address and it looks like thats all you have to do. But the STING is that to qualify for the $1000 gift card you've got to sign up to quite a few other offers, some of which cost you money or they at least want you to sign up to free trials by giving your credit card details. But if you don't cancel they will start charging you a monthly subscription.

So unless you are VERY VERY organised and will remember to cancel stay well clear of offers like this. On the other hand if you are well organised and willing to spend a $100 or so and some of your valuable time to get a gift card for a $1000 the GO AHEAD but don't say I didn't warn you. I love getting either a good deal or better still something for free
